a little bit of both, as well as IMO it's easier to sell a "stock" car over a modd'd car. More potential buyers with a stock e60.
to most, mods do not add value to the car....

Most guys sell off their mods because of the simple fact that they will get more resale value without them. The sad truth about customizing a car is that when you do it you have to find someone with the exact same tastes as yours to get anywhere near the return on the investment. Selling the mods to individual members and then reselling the stock car get's you the most value for your parts, mods, and car.

I'm going to have a few goodies coming up soon.... Weather mats fr/rear, trunk, CF Grill, possibly manual rear sun shade & sprint booster..... SGM M5 deck spoiler....
I'll know shortly...
Reason I'm selling, well Don't want another 535i ( long story can't really talk about it), 528 too slow! M5/550 too expensive... The cars I'm looking at are either e9x's or e71s... so the stuff is of little to no use for me. Better to get some cash than eat the parts and have them gather dust.

The only way to get some of your $$$ back from your mods...I have over $15k in mods and for me to try and sell my car in the $40k+ area would never happen...

Why do you guys part out most of your mods? Is it just more financially viable to do so? i.e. getting more bang for the buck back ?

I might have to put mine back to stock and sell it to pay for taking some legal action, hoping to find the money elsewhere but needs must.
Watch this space, there may be an Msport bumper kit for sale soon.
