So, curious within the group here what options did you pass on due to cost or lack of interest in that particular item.

Dont regret - Not getting rear fold down seats and comfort access

How about you?

Regret not getting NAV. $1800 was a lot for "just" nav. wasnt informed when i got the car that with NAV we'll get

1.) MP3 later
2.) 3-D NAV (Birds Eye View)
3.) 16.9 widescreen
4.) FULL voice command
5.) Force feedback iDrive knob

Is there more to NAV that I dont know?

I let go NAv for cold weather.

I really love cold weather in the winter. I like to be at my office early (6.30am-7am) and let me tell you..the cold weather does make a difference.

I can always print a map. I know...not a clean solution but it does the trick.

Comfort access. Using the new Start / Stop button without it is a pain.

And it's infuriating that BMW expects us to donate another $1,000 to the cause just make this useless feature useful.

I probably won't remember some things I didn't go for. But, for sure, I didn't get the cold-weather package, HUD, active cruise control, heated rear seats, fold down rear seat with ski thing, and ventilated seats. All not worth the price given my needs/interests.

My Ride: 2008 M5 -- Exterior: Silverstone, Interior: Black. Fully Loaded. That just about sums it up! :-)

Living out here in mostly Sunny California I decided to pass on the cold weather package and ventilated seats. I also passed on the Comfort Access -- $1,000 so I don't have to put the key fob in a slot? I don't think so....

I also didn't get HUD -- My insurance knows about the more expensive windscreen and was ready to charge me more for replacement. Also there isn't much info that I felt I needed to see without simply looking down.

And then there's Active Cruise Control -- Nothing missed for me here.

I regret not getting Illuminated Door Sills.

The only other options I didn't get were rear heated seats and rear side airbags...but no one is ever in the back seat, so I didn't see the point. I also didn't get Comfort Seats because I actually quite like the Sport Seats, and I don't drive long distances anyway.

But I haven't even gotten the car yet and I find myself thinking I should have gotten Illuminated Door Sills. Oh well, at least there's a pretty cheap retrofit kit for them.

Donv, do you ski in Phoenix or is Durango just close by? Someone should invite an Extreme sport of skiing down those red rock clay mountains. Now that would be fun to see.

I should have gotten the ventilated seats because it is very help in the heat.
