Hey, Newbie here. I just want to say thanks for all the great postings, I just can't get enough of this forum. Great information. I just picked up a 2006 black on black 550i with sports pkg and like Sunny530 I am really itching to do something to enhance the aggressive look of it. BTW Sunny530 - I love the new wheels. Any opinions on just starting with something simple like the ACS front lip add-on? I see the authentic ones for over a grand and then some on EBAY from $50 to about $300 depending on material and I'm sure quality. I emailed a person who previously bought the $50 one and he loved it but said it required a lot of cutting, sanding and filling to get it perfect. Anyone have a good place to order one that's inexpensive and will be easy to install and not require a lot of cutting filling and smoothing out?

Thanks in advance.

thanks for the comment tbone 550i....i'm also deciding on the ACS front lip, side skirts, and the back apron. i have also been looking on the ebay website and found plenty of people selling these mods for very cheap, compared to the real stuff....i wasn't aware of cutting and sanding of the replica ACS...i always thought it was easy as 1 2 3..... well its in the plans to do all this soon but my next mod will be a ACS lip spoiler and then the kit. if i do not decide to go with the kit, i will probably just get the spoiler and then lower it with either H & R springs or as alpinewhite puts it "get some coilovers and slam it"...lol

i sometimes look at it this way, in the end you get what u paid for..

Replace the chrome around your windows with Black Shadoline trim, easy and inexpensive. If you go to the search feature I'm sure you'll find a few how to's /where's and how much$$ etc.... good luck

Well here's the info I have so far on the ACS front Lip. The second comment below is what gave me some concerns about the ease of doing this....

This is an email from one guy on EBAY selling for $389-Painted and Shipped to US (Material=PU, shipped from Taiwan)
"We make this front lip by our own mold and we have sold for more than 15 piece on ebay. b4 we send this out, we will test the fitment and check the paint quality one by one. we can guarantee the fitment is perfect. no trimming, no cutting needed. you can trust because we are not doing one time business. if you are happy, you will buy more from us. bid with confidence. Any needs, plz let me know." - CarKing (seller)

This is an email from the last guy who bought the cheaper one for $190-Unpainted and Shipped to US (Material=PU, shipped from Taiwan):
"It lip looks awesome once it is fitted, filled, primed, painted and installed. There is some work to putting it in though. Some minor filling and smoothing. There is also some trimming needed to the fog light holes and your original center grill. I urethaned the lip to my bumper. Nice product. Do not expect to just paint and put on. I just did the front lip like you are considering and it looks like it was supposed to be there. It adds a much more aggresive look to the car."

Let me know what you find out if you buy one.
