Yesterday I had to make the tough decision to buy a more affordable car.?
Have a new baby at home and we need a bigger house.? So I had to cancel my recent order and I'm buying a new 2005 Acura TL ($20,000 less).? I know, it's no BMW, but I need to keep the car a while and Japanese cars are just more reliable.
I just want to say that this forum has helped me so much and I'm going to miss you guys.? As you all know, this is flat out the best BMW 5 Series Forum around.? It may even be the best forum - period.
Take care everyone and enjoy your phenomenal rides...

Congrats on the new family!
With the real estate market the way it is in California, you might be able to build some serious equity with your new home and have enough to buy a 5-series again.

The Acura TL is a good car. I own a 2005 TL in addition to our 545i and like it a lot. It is a great value and it comes loaded-up with lots of goodies. It is actually faster than a 530i and it handles well-- I believe a lot of this is due to how low they set the body. It feels sporty, has a good back seat (much bigger than even the new 3 series) so it should keep your whole family happy. The nav system is outstanding-- best on the market, so consider getting that.

Good luck with everything, it takes a great dad to give up his favorite toy. Dont worry, when your ready to buy a bimmer again they will be better than ever!!!
congrats on the new baby bro! you'll never understand how much patience you learn from babies! it's simply astounding. Well from your gallery it seems your house is pretty big with a 2 car garage, unless you're moving into some mansion! lol but great time to be alive for ya so enjoy life and ur new car!
