So Long Everyone...
Yesterday I had to make the tough decision to buy a more affordable car.
Have a new baby at home and we need a bigger house. So I had to cancel my recent order and I'm buying a new 2005 Acura TL ($20,000 less). I know, it's no BMW, but I need to keep the car a while and Japanese cars are just more reliable.
I just want to say that this forum has helped me so much and I'm going to miss you guys. As you all know, this is flat out the best BMW 5 Series Forum around. It may even be the best forum - period.
Take care everyone and enjoy your phenomenal rides...

Why not opt for a E90 330i as opposed to the TL?
Size-wise I believe both cars are comparable and power/performance has to go to the 330i. The Acura SH-AWD (Honda code for FWD) simply cannot compete with a true RWD. Plus, the 330i is actually quite a bit bigger than it looks (just a few inches all around smaller/shorter than the E60).
In any event, congrats and good luck with the new addition to the family!

Thanks, guys!
I thought about the new 3, but it boils down to one thing. It's German and will never be as reliable as the Acura. It won't bring out as much passion behind the wheel, but C'est La Vie.
Basically, I am going to keep this car for maybe 6 years. With biting off a much bigger chunk for a larger home, I can't deal with a BMW out of warranty. I had a 3 series three cars ago and they're just not cheap to maintain after the warranty is up. So....
Good luck all. I know I will drop in from time to time. I love seeing the new posts asking about MP3.
As good as the TL's sound system is, no MP3 playback either. Good for nothing DVD-Audio Surround Sound, but no MP3.
Take care....
