So it is beamer-I stand corrected
#1
So for the longest time I was convinced the proper spelling was "bimmer" when referring to a bmw car however I read an article the other day confirming the history of the various pronounciations and common mistakes and it is actually "bimmer" when referring to bmw motorcycles and not cars. The pronounciation is litereally BIM-er not BEEM er which I thought.
However for a car the right thing is Beamer-spelling and pronounced like it sounds beeemer-not sure the history for the reasoning of why this is but I stand corrected and sorry for everyone I ridiculated and corrected-all in fun of course

From what I read in the past, it's:
Bimmer = Car
Beamer = Bike
If that's wrong, I gotta change my handle ASAP!

From what I've read in the past (specifically in Roundel):
Bimmer = Car
Beemer = Motorcycle
Beamer = someone driving with the high beams on
AND a new one for Iceman:
Fommer = A fool driving with the foglights on....

Guess I see why I get bashed-I am dead wrong and I even started a thread on it-I just re-read the article and it totally was the opposite-bimmer is car and beemer is bike. Not sure what I was smoking the day I read that-maybe post-call in a delirium state would be an explanation-35 hours with no sleep will do that to ya

Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy...
Sometimes it is better to search the forum, instead of starting a thread. *hint*hint*
35h w/o sleep... What medis are you using.
Now go and get some sleep and dream of your Bimmer!
