Twice I have had what looks like a snowflake with a triangle around it show up in the middle of the dash. It was only displayed for a second or two and then went away. Strange thing is both times it happened around the same point on the route I take to work. I looked in the manual and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know what this warning is?

Outside temp is 37 deg or lower, possible icey roads due to water freezing... (I've gotten the warning twice this week also)

 

It just means that its cold outside, winter advisory. I think it goes off when the temp falls below 37 degrees.

 

Thanks! That's a relief, I was thinking that maybe it meant something was wrong with the AC. I do recall looking at the temp on the dash this morning and it was 36 degrees.

 

Its the car saying, "Its too damn cold. Bring me back to the garage and park me. I dont want to drive in this weather."

I get this message every time I turn the car on.... Granted it is COLD OUT HERE!!!

+1 I currently live in Michigan. I have been getting that warning for that last month.. it is the welcome to winter sign.

 

I got this too, the snow icon, but on my e39, I got a warning sound, and the temp blinks LOL
