Snap, Crackle & Pop...be gone!!
After going through the various threads on concerning the 'snap, crackle & pop' (SCP) sounds from the rear seats, I believe I've finally removed all of it and my car is now satisfactorily quiet
The first sounds came from the rear seats directly behind the drivers seat (right hand drive). This was fixed by my dealership which claimed there was a latch loose. Soon after this, the SCP issue started from the left side of the rear passenger seat. Despite numerous attempts by the dealership they could'nt fix the problem.
I noted a few posts about how the SCP sounds were caused by the rear shelf rubbing against the seat. So today, I bought some 'sponge cloth' and jammed in between the left rear shelf against the rear seats, which also covered the section where the seat belt housings were. Voila!!! No more SCPs!!!
I've tossed the car around, driven it through bumps and uneven surfaces...and nothing.....I'm so happy
