Here are rounded numbers for the cost to replace the SMP pump from a non-dealer repair shop. Located in Kansas if that matters....perhaps cheaper than east coast / west coast shops.

Shuddering is usually caused by a leaking SMG hydraulic hose which should have been replaced under a recall bulletin.

Thanks, I never heard of SMG pump repair kit before. Do you know more details? Is this OEM parts?

The pump is cheap: $300 or so.
I replaced actuator (it was faulty) and pump because was cheap (but it was working).
I could sell it, but.. I prefer to keep it in the garage for future emergency cases.

I too want to have an extra pump in handy in case my pump decides to die on me(as I'm reaching 60k miles).

Hey, do you know the part number for the pump? I see that you are located in Italy, is this something I can get in US?

I know the pump is made in Italy, I already found an employee of Denso/Magneti Marelli.
I have to send him what I read on the label and will see if he will be able to find one.
Recently I saw an F430 with the rear bumper and I noticed the same pump, just a little bigger
