SMG software upgrade

Ok I bought a 2004 BMW 530i SMG, I heard there is an upgreade for the SMG, my car was build on April/04/2004.
How can I check if I already had the upgrade?
pls help any way you can

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.

The smg upgrade was for the 545s, atleast thats what my SA told me and it was to correct the 2nd to 1st slam issue.
You could try this SMG reset to get better shifting.
Also does your nav have perspective view ? this was added on the later version.

Just like your Windows programs sometimes updates cause problems. If your not having a problem don't change anything. We had a list running here with every version of update what it fixed and what it broke, kinda funny.
