Like everyone else said, e60 lacks "drivelogic mode" but that's about the only disadvantage.
Only in S6 in M3 can shift quicker than non M smg. full details are in the thread above.

I won't trade for anything else. I have yet to try DCT but if bmw's DCT drives like VW's DSG, then I would be very disappointed.
I'm at 44k miles right now, and I'm planning to change to Dinan's flywheel at around 70k or so. I'm very tempted to find out
how much that will shorten the shift time.
