First time this one has happened to me. Today I shifted from 1st to 2nd at approx 5,500 rpm and it ground 2nd gear . Every shift before or after that has been fine. I didn't think the computer would allow that. Just got V13.23 yesterday. I wouldn't think that would have anything to do with it. Anyone else experience this?

Ground like you have a manual and change gears without using the clutch????...

This is rather strange.. You would say that the car should have a anti failure device to prevent that.. yuk

Hope it was a one time issue..

It was the first time and hopefully the last. It wasn't just a little grind. My instincts had me pushing my left foot to disengage the clutch.

Next time you're in for service report the problem and see if there are any faults in the obd. If not, at least you reported it during the warranty period in case there are future problems.

I already e-mailed my service advisor. I just picked up the car yesterday for it's 1st scheduled maintenance (indicator came on at just over 9,500 miles) so I don't expect it to go in anytime soon. But at least they are on record of the problem.

Drove the car almost 100 miles today. No grinding. Must have been a software hiccup. (Didn't need to look for the clutch pedal).

Your not supposed to change gears at that low of an RPM, always shift at redline! Only kidding- That sucks, hopefully only a solitary fault.
