Hi I have a question on my future SMG. If i'm slowing down to a stop should I downshift or just step on the brake and just stop? Cause on a stick you just throw it in neutral. thanks for all your help

Whatever you want... I usually manually push the stick to downshift to 3rd then just step on the brake and let the car do its thing. Some people like to downshift all the way to 1st.
BTW: the car downshifts automatically even when you are just stepping on the brakes, but it downshifts at a much lower RPM than a human would.

Read this one:

And in my opinion, even though some people do it, I don't recommend shifting to neutral in an SMG while you're still driving or coming to a (temporary) stop. It's just not a good (or safe) idea...

Plus, slower shifts means (generally) a smoother drive around town.
