The m3 has some type of hill assist where the car wont drieft back, does the e60 have this?

There is no hill assist on E60 SMG.

When you let go of brake pedal on a hill, you roll back.

You had better use the handbrake when you park, too.

One more thing...on an SMG, NEVER use the gas pedal to hold the car on a hill at a red light, etc. It's the same as riding the clutch and it will burn it out quickly. As much as it feels like an automatic at a red light, it isn't. It's a manual...

I think the hill assist is a feature of the M3 SMG. Works by holding the paddles in a certain position, etc. and prevents the car from rolling without stressing the clutch.

One more confirmation. Definitely will roll back on a hill. I haven't read or heard of that feature on the e-60.

why dont they use the same SMG manufaturer for teh M series and the non-m cars?
