This starts happening in the last 30 days. I hear a clanking noise when breaking. I first thought it will go away but, it is still there. The car has 67k miles and I have purchased the extended miles warranty.

Dealer first told me the link is the problem and replaced it. I went right back and they mentioned it is not a major problem and gave me another appointment to check it. However my car has been there for over a week and now the only suspect is the drive shaft.

I am just wondering if anyone sees such a problem before. This clanking noise does not occur while accelerating happens only parking. Dealer already checked brake system, suspension, and anti lock brake and all are ok.

Today Dealer mentioned indeed it is a drive shaft. Is this normal for 60k miles Ultimate Driving Machine! Wow....

Doesn't seem very normal. Where you involved in a crash or something?

No. Never crashed, even drive irregularly. I make every one following me mad crossing on train trucks or speed bumps driving so slowly.

Dealer just mentioned cost is $1200. However, my extended warranty will cover it. The part is ordered from Germany and I may have to continue driving it until part arrives.
