Thumbs up

Well, as anyone who lives in the northeast USA knows that winter is upon us again therefore the need to crank up those seat warmers again. Well, for the past few days whenever I turn the seat warmers on I get this nasty odor emanating from somewhere in the driver's seat area (can't put my finger on just exactly where as yet). It smells like burning electrical wiring. Has anyone else experienced this? The smell is so strong that I have to turn off the seat warmer and open the windows to air the car out.

In case you didn't notice, kscarrol editted his post after your reply with a link to the bulletin on the seat heater problem.

If I were you, I'd stop using the heater immediately before you end up burning the seat or yourself!

Same here. I'm guessing it is burning something in the bolsters. Taking mine in to be fixed soon.

If the hole is burned from underneath, yes. If the hole is from the outside, no.
