Small amount of oil in inlet on 530d - is this ok?
#1
Hi all,
In trying to identify the source of a very faint, but audible turbo whistle on my 530d at motorway cruise, I checked all my air pipe connections. The plastic pipe up from the intercooler was a bit loose and rocked where it connects to the EGR valve / inlet manifold at the front top right of the engine. On removing this, there was about a small teaspoon full of what looked like engine oil pooled in the bottom of the metal inlet. Where would this come from? Is it normal, or something to be really worried about?
Many thanks.
