My Ride: 2006 530xi. Deep green with beige interior. 6 speed manual. Premium package.
Had our Christmas party tonight. The valets I hired said they parked 5 e60's. Txo of my friends got them becauase I suggested them = and they bought off the lot and they have them now and mine is not due in until monday. I got to sit in them, but I still donot have mine!!!
BTW, one of my friends that I told about the car and bought one and I told about the website still tinks everyone here is a fanatic - used that term again. I told him I spend hours on the site and he thought I may have a problem. I think I do. My biggest fear is that when my car gets here there is no way it can live up to all f my expectations. And all 3 e60's I sat in the first thing they did is turn on the heated seats ans steering wheel and told me how great it was. I did not even order that option.

Hey don't worry, you will love it whatever the spec. It is a bit like buying a computer, you can keep on adding extras or replacing it everythime there is a new processor released, but sometimes we just have to take a stand, buy and hold.
My dealer also said - obviously with resale in mind - that there are sensible specs, there are things that must be added and other things that offer no return. If we all took every option we would be paying twice the price for the cars!
Your spec looks great.

I know. I decided to apy cash instead of lease and everytime I added a 2000$ option my pocketbook felt it. It may not seem like 50 or 55 thousand os that much of a difference, but I got and 06 530xi for 49K With tax/title out the door. And I got to order it so I could get my deep green color - which does not seem like a popular color - I could have had black/grey/or silver off the lot. BTW - only 1 of the 5 at my party picked their color and had to wait - it was dark blue. And none of them used this website without my telling them.

You are the only one who actually chose what you want. Most importantly, you paid what you wanted, and you got the color you wanted. The green is gorgeous and is seldomly seen. You made the tradeoffs that seemed sensible at the time. Don't second quess yourself. Decision quality is assessed at the decision point, not ex post. Don't worry, be happy (see my sig). You did the right thing, and the arguments you made to yourself at the time still hold. And, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

2004 545i, silver gray, tan leather, steptronic, sport, nav, cold package (on its way out...)
If it makes your wait feel better, I traded in an '04 545 steptronic for a fully loaded '06 550 with smg, logic7, nav, cold & sport&aero packages, headsup, active steer, split seats, remote access, sat radio, etc...The car finally came to dealer last week. They said it would be ready from Tue-Fri last week but were missing 2 grill pieces for aero kit - and one had to be shipped from Germany. To make matters worse, they had a buyer for my 545 so I gave it to them. Now I am driving around in my suv! Good news is I will have the 550 by Wed (but it feels like forever). Don't worry - well worth the wait!
