I recently got an SOS Malfunction message and the radio (AM, FM and CD) started skipping on a consistent repeatable basis approximately every 5 seconds. My guess was that that it was something related to the TCU/Bluetooth system. After much research of the issue and trying several items I found that if I disconnected the fiber optic connector on the bottom of the TCU the issue went away. I also noted that when disconnected the fiber optic line shows red and blinks at the same rate that my skipping was occurring at.

So I would like to better understand what is going on here. I am assuming this is part of the MOST distribution and my guess is that the light I am seeing is the input to the TCU. Does anyone understand this system well enough to understand what may be going on here?

Hi Jason. Welcome to the forum! I hope you get some good input on this as I've been experiencing it intermittently as well, but haven't gotten it sorted out as yet...
