Sirius started cutting in and out constantly, can't change channel
Anyone have this problem and solve it?
I've read about reseting the stereo by this method: "You can also try an iDrive reset - hold in the DVD and CD eject buttons then press the power/mute button - all 3 at the same time. it is like CTRL-ALT-DEL on a computer it will just do a reboot. Do this with the power on."
I will try that next, but curious if others have had this issue?
The car (E61 2008 535xi wagon) had the sunroof/water problem years ago, but this problem started in the past six months, and has gotten worse. Nothing appears wet in the trunk.
The weird thing is you can't change stations. I have tried playing a CD, and it plays fine, as does FM radio, so I assume it's a satellite-only problem. I've had the car almost ten years now, and never a problem with the stereo until recently.
