Is it my imagination, or is the Sirius sound quality inferior than the normal Logic 7 FM sound quality? I finally got the Sirius radio activated after using the car for a week. When using the satellite radio it sounds like mono FM, although the audio settings produce great sound from other sources. It's not bad, just different. I would have thought a digital source would have been even better. I do like the selection from the satellite radio, however.

What channels have you tried? Some Sirius channels (mostly the non-music ones) are compressed and don't sound great.
If all your channels, including the music ones, sound like mono FM, something isn't right. I've found that although the sound isn't CD quality, many of the music channels are much, much better than FM...

I could only hear compression artifacts on high frequencies with XM, so it was only noticeable with certain brass or woodwind instruments, and sometimes with cymbals. This seemed to only negatively impact certain genres of music. Sirius seems to spread the degradation across the entire range of frequencies which seems a bit odd and impacts pretty much all types of music.
