I purchased the satalite reciever from bmw after 1 year of ownership. when my lease is up can i have it removed and try selling it on ebay or craigslist. it was not part of the original lease purchase

I don't see why not. If you yank it out yourself, the iDrive software might simply grey out the SAT option or it might do something worse. If it just greys it out, it would allow the next guy to buy the radio and install it himself, I suppose -- maybe he can just buy it from you and save the hassle...
