Any more people have this problem? I still have to do what vern recommended. How to reset after moving the mirror around manually?

I have the same issue. I thought I read it was fixed in a software release?

Yup, on both my 06 and my 08. Had my SA check it on my old car and he said that they could find no problems. Thought I was going crazy. Glad to see that we all are!!

Have the same thing with mine, they gradually point further away from the car to the point where I can't see the side of the car in the mirror.

So when you push it around by hand, just how much are you pushing it around??? Just worried about breaking it! Will I feel/hear the glass click back into place before I know when I've pushed enough?

Cheers

Barry

The mirror only goes down when the mirror adjustment switch is set to the drivers mirror (I think, might be the other way around).

Could it be that?

Yes, I have that problem, passenger side. The first time I reported it (six months ago) SA ordered in a new mirror and replaced it.

Should add - it drifts further out and down.

The car goes in again on Tuesday and on the list is .... passenger side mirror not returning to original position. Will post again once they "fix" it again.

Thanks for the input guys keep it coming. I'll probably print this thread out for my SA.

southgate, bardel is right. Make sure the mirror switch is set to the driver side so the mirror tilts down when reversing.
