I purchased some aftermarket side markers. Unfortunately they did not come with the spring retention clips that are found on the OEM's. The OEM clips are (in theory) removeable by pressing the small retention tabs with a screwdriver. Unfortunately this proved to be impossible and nearly destroyed my OEM sidemarker lights. The dealership shows the clips PIA to the lights themselves and don't have a part number for them. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with these clips? Any help is appreciated.....thx.

The problem is not removing the side markers; just slide them back and pull towards you. The problem is finding the retention clip that holds the side markers to the vehicle.
