I usually do some kind of searchings before making a decision to buy a car like this.
Used to drive a e36 and didn't really have any major issues but this is scarying me. Should I be worried? is this problem fixed?

Planning to get a 2008 535xi but I'm scared now...what do?

If the links had anything to do with the HPFP, I dont know if they've fixed it yet but I believe there are many topics about that topic on this and many other board like you posted.

Yes, one major issue with the 335/535 is the fuel pump, make sure it's been replaced.
