Had my 08 550i in for brake noise. Car has 44k miles, bought CPO in a few months back. Dealers did a $125 brakecflush.

Why I don't know but regardless, shouldn't that be under the 4 yr 50k no cost service?

I don't think brake flush is covered under the 50K miles no cost service since that's a maintenance, not service but if you didn't authorize the service, then you shouldn't have to pay. Request to talk to the service department manager, if not resolved and they still give you a hard time, I guess pay it but make sure it is noted down on the receipt that you did not authorize for the service but it was performed and have to pay for it to get your car back. That way you can contact BMW directly and complain.

didn't know brake flush would be covered under the 50K warranty. I thought it only covers what is recommended by the Idrive.

^^^ Agreed. Just got my maintenance work done this week. Also told the SA to do a brake flush. Which is under warranty.

The 2 year brake fluid flush is definitely covered under the 4 yr./50,000 mile original maintenance plan. I suspect that they charged for it because it was not time, i.e., sooner than 2 yrs from the last service. They only cover service that is "due" according to the computer or the calendar.

They did it presumably because you complained about brake noise, but, they still should have gotten your permission to spend the $$$.

Interesting thread. My car just told me that I need a brake fluid change and the dealer emailed me with my appointment date and time for later this month. I'm under the new car warranty until late July. I'll post up what they have to say. I'll be submitting a legitimate sunroof noise complaint as well and see what they do for me.
