I found a great deal in NY for a used 2009 535xi manual transmission, sport package. Someone pulled the maintenance report for me, shows the following

4,949 High Pressure pump HDP permanent failure
9,506 High Pressure pump HDP permanent failure
24,326 N54 Programming HDP, B13 09 10

The car has 25k miles and is certified used.

What do you guys think?

Are you buying it from a BMW dealership, so it is a CPO?

If it is a CPO, then buy and get the extra warranty so they will service your car at no cost to you.

The pump is under a 10 yr 100000 mile warranty. So really, no worries there. The pump has been updated and the new ones seem to be working well. It would be interesting tomknowmifnthe two times it was replaced which pump was installed. But to the looks of this, it could be a buy back car which you can get a great deal on. You just have to keep it because they resale will also be low if you sell it.
