For that price you should get new all four shocks and springs with installation plus four wheel alignment.

I just had the dealer install bilstein shocks and he springs and a 4 wheel alignmentand I paid less then 1200 forall the parts and the labour. And I had that all done at the dealer so I'm sure an indi shop willbe cheaper then my dealer. Also that's in Canada and things should be cheaper in the US. Although my dealer only charges $90 for 4 wheel alignment with active steering

yeah man I know .. that sounds reasonable all the package and 4 shocks but 1 .. lol

yeah when your shocks are leaking its a sign that it is bad, you can see it when you look at the shocks. I"m sure the dealer wouldn't tamper with it. They are just advising you about your needed maintenance. I would go with aftermarket, a good reason to drop your car.

hey and its' the price we pay for getting a BMW, the parts are expensive, and if you go to the dealership for parts and labor your talking about an arm and leg.
