part of it sounds like an active steering malfunction...

Look in your manual to see how to reset it; something like turning the steering wheel all the way to the left, then all the way to the right, then center. Turn the car off then back on. That should reset the steering issue.

Can't help you with the other issues. Try driving it around for a few days to see if they go away.

Good luck
+1

this is what came to my mind when reading your first post. The Active Steering reset is explained in the manual.

Good luck

Perhaps your post title should have been "Driver malfunction",as I don't see how you can blame the car!

Blaming the car is just easier! haha The AWD malfunction came up while I was taking the turn so something happened with that first before I hit the curb. I'll take half the blame lol.

Isn't your '06 still covered under warranty.
Did u tell the dealer you hit the curb?

Warranty does not cover damage from accidents, abuse, neglect, etc. We get excited when dealership personnel lie. Actually, it is ok for them to lie because it is part of their job.

Not so sure we can claim that excuse. lol

So this morning I was driving and took a turn when the car slid and hit the curb. Not only is my rim scratched but all the sudden all the lights start coming up. AWD and DSC malfunctioning. then the steering wheel turns half way and thats how i have to keep it to drive straight!!! Then I go to park the car and when i back up as i turn the wheel it completely turns hard itself.

I called my BMW Dealer and they said it may have been just a small problem that if you leave the car off for an hour then start it back up it may fix itself....

Well I try it and guess what. It is still done for. This sounds like its gonna cost me.

Does insurance cover hitting curbs??? haha I don't know what to do. This sux!!!!
If your car has substantial aluminum under it, you NEED to have a competent dealer mechanic look at it. I would not recommend an indy shop, as they do not have the electronic diagnostic tools.

Aluminum CRACKS when it is hit, sometimes very very tiny cracks. As you saw, several sensors went off (or on).

I would not drive this car on the interstate.

Just my 2 cents.

Indy shops have access to all of the electronic diagnostic tools if they are using the Actia OBD pass-through tool and subscription. I saw it in action at my local indy shop and was very impressed. Link to Actia: http://www.actia.fr/en/ACTIA-et-le-marche-automobile
