My car made it on the boat and is on the way...

BMW NA said once it reaches the boat they don't have any further info...

Well my salesman has the day off today so he can't give me any further info

Does anyone know about how long the boat ride is from Germany to the USA?
I know it probably varies... But any guesstimate would be much appriciated... I don't think I am going to survive the wait

Thanx in advance

Go to the shipping company's web site: http://www.2wglobal.com

Click "Cargo Tracking".
Click "Auto Cargo".
Enter your car's VIN.

It's not on a ship from their fleet =(

I tried that already...

Guess I will have to wait till my salesman comes back to work so he can tell me what ship it's on...

Thanks for the help

Really, they usually handle the east coast for BMW. Oh well, sorry about that...

As I recall from my order, that transit is anywhere from 7-10 days, maybe a bit more. Depends on the port of delivery. I would think your's will arrive in NY/NJ...

My car left Bremerhaven on 9/20, arrived in NY yesterday (2 weeks in transit; ship made 2 stops after Germany). This was on WW lines' Faust. You might be on another shipping company's vessel, but I think times are similar. Yes, the wait seems eternal, but not as long as right now, knowing that baby is so close. Unfortunately, BMWOC still shows the car as "en route," not at VPC. Just have to wait it out, I guess.
Good luck with your newborn.

Thank you for a general guideline...

My dealer hasn't gotten back to me to what vessel she is on... I have a feeling he thinks I am a nut-job asking for all this info...
I bet no one has ever asked him these questons before...
Thats why I am glad I am amongst other freaks like myself
