I don't want to spoil your fun...I know you are excited but you should never accept delivery of a damaged car. Years ago I did, there was a big greasy handmark on the inside of the drivers side door pillar. The interior lining material was a light color. No effort from the dealer, myself or a car cleaner ever truly got rid of it. It was there till the day I sold it and it always annoyed me.

You should have held back a couple of Thousand $$$ until the dealer replaced the hood, and I mean a NEW one, not a respray of the damaged one. No reason why a good dealer should have a problem with this.

Great looking car. Congrats. We have all felt the excitement of the new car!

On your dent issue, I'd make them replace the whole hood----you bought a new car and you will see it everytime you walk up to it. Just my 2 cents.

Best of luck.

Congratulations on the new car. That hood is made of aluminum, so a replace is your best bet. You simple cannot smooth out aluminum like the factory. Trust me, if you don't get a new hood, it will be a sore thumb for the rest of the ownership duration.

Can only agree : get the hood replaced if dented. If only paint damaged, the dealer may as well respray since spare parts are not delviered in the finished paint

Pics of the damage?

Thanks guys for all of the nice compliments, I really appreciate it!!

When I will bring the car back in for repair on Tuesday, I will insist that I want a new hood because it will never be to factory standard if they just use something like Dent Wizard which they mentioned to me. I doubt that Dent Wizard will take out one of the dents, because it just so happens that it is in one of the most toughest parts of the hood to work with, near the kidney grill.

I will snap up some pictures of the dents and post it here so you guys can see what I am talking about.

Thanks again for everything!!

Zack
