Setting SAT buttons

Dumb question. I have the 6 buttons pre-set for FM stations. I just added SAT tonight and wanted to save presets as well for the SAT without erasing the FM presets. . For the life of me I can't figure out how to do this without erasing the FM settings I have saved. I-drive is nice but dang, some things should just be easy. Tks

My Ride: SOLD...Jet Black 2008 550i M Sport with SAT, black interior. RPI exhaust and air scoop, 35% huper optik tint all around, CF roundels, flat black kidneys, Springfield Armory XD-40 jet black in glove box, charcoal filter removed.

If i understand your question, its not possible to have the six buttons change dependant on what source you are on. You have six buttons to use, and only six. 1-3 can be your favorite FM stations and 4-5 can be SAT with 6 being your home address to NAV to, or whatever combination you want. But you can't have the six buttons all FM when in FM mode, then all change to SAT channels when in SAT mode, etc.
If you can do that, well then damn I never knew you could. But I'm pretty sure you can't.

That is odd on the e60 if you can't have presets say 1-6 for fm and the same 1-6 when in Sattelite mode. I could do this on my 2003 M. Would not make sense they would go backwards in technology. Oh well, maybe someone might have a solution but I have not discovered it yet.
