Service indicator on prematurely

My Ride: X3 | 3.0 | 6-speed manual
Took delivery of my 545i on Tuesday and by Saturday the service indicator (the ! in a triangle) was lit already!
I figured it was telling me that it was time for scheduled maintenance, and the dealer confirmed that this morning when I brought it in. They didn't have any good explanation for why it came on, and just reset it.
I have an appt. in a couple of weeks for a CIP upgrade, so I'll see if it comes back on prematurely again between now and then.
The good thing was that the service dept. took me right at 8 am and by 8:25 I was driving out of there.
