My Ride: 2004 545i [01/04 build] Titanium Gray Metallic II / Black leather / Poplar Woodgrain / Style 124 Wheels 6SP Manual SP/CWP/PMP/L7 Bluetooth retrofit
Default

I understand that vehicle preferences can be set at the service center, but what options are available? For instance, is it a flip of a switch for them to enable daytime running lights, just like they can do with bluetooth?

How far does it go? Can it be setup to increase the feeling of weight on the steering wheel while turning? Or how aggressively the active suspension reacts?

My car is 01/04 build 545i with manual transmission, non-nav, with premium/cold/sport/premium sound packages.

Thanks!

My service advisor is supposed to call back after he has spoken with a technician to let me know what all is customizable.

Please let us know. I'm picking up a 530xit and would like to know as well, before I leave the dealership.

Ones I know of
1. Adjust sensitivity of auto headlights
2. Program mirrors to fold/unflod on key lock/unlock.
3. Allow boot to open only after unlock.

Do all models do the fold/unfold of the mirrors, or is that an option? My car is an 01/04 production model.

Nope, your car does not have this. Was only on European versions early on but I believe in can be had as an option here in the states.

Jason, in asking a question you've provided the most comprehensive answer to the forum I've ever see. Well done.
