Does anyone knows what this convertion require?
I don't understand this. Is this usual procedure? It should be for free, no?
Aren't software updates covered by warranty?

oooops. did more searching and found threads about it. looks like a common practice to try to squeeze more ??? from us... pffff...

The only problem is that i asked specifically for that before buying the car. What they did was go to the menu and change it, something that anyone can do! :thumbsdown:
Now i am scaling the issue inside bmw to see how this can be done. It is a question of service and focus on the client problem and solving it, instead of considering the client as dum.
My company has BMWs since 2000 and one of the things that kept us from going to Mercedes is the excelent service we have at the BMW here in our city.
Lets see the outcome...
UPDATE (didn't want to put on top of forum again, so edited this one)
They did it for free. BUT: we bought two cars. The other one we will have to scale the problem inside BMW. We already did and are sending the whole process information. I think everything will end fine
