Be this a lesson for all...Get the comfort seat.? It's one of the best upgrades you can get.

I initially had HUD in my order, but after test driving a car with comfort seat and then one without, I immediately told my Sales Advisor to change my order, dropping the HUD for Comfort seats.? Not that HUD is bad, but I just did not want to increase my already bloated budget.? I have originally budgeted $40,000, then it was a never ending "for a few dollars more, I can get this instead....blah, blah, blah" There has got to be a limit, at $65,000.

Don't worry about blowing your 40k budget. I did the same thing. I started at the 40k range and very quickly ended up with my current 545. I figured what the he11. I don't have any other hobbies.

Agree with the others. Even though I have found the regular seats BMW fits in its cars better than just about any manufacturer's, however, their comfort seats have always been so far superior to anything out there AT ANY PRICE that they should be an automatic option choice on any vehicle that they are offered in. I first had them on a 95 740iL and got hooked within the first day. Now, seven BMWs later -- 5 with the comfort seats, I am also going to have them on the new 545.

There simply is no seat better out there at any price.

Sorry this wont help TJwong, but you guys are all right. Comfort seats are where its at, especially if you have a sensitive back. My last 540 had sport seats which were adequate, but these comfort seats are, for me, an always to be included option!

I am a new owner of a 525i and everything in the car are splendid. Except for the seats. I have spent hours adjusting the seats to any position possible, however, the driving position remains very uncomfortable. My back aches badly and my neck becomces very stiff.

Maybe the reason is related to the fact that the surface of the seat is tilted back at least for 30 degrees and that cannot be adjusted. The electric seats only allow us to increase this tilting back.? Therefore, the seat is slanting backwards.

Any remedies ?

Welcome

I agree about the comfort seats - once you've tried them you've got to have them!

As far as seating posisiton is concernec you may find the following link useful

http://www.lboro.ac.uk/departments/cd/docs...ition_guide.pdf

Give it a go & see if it helps
