I am a new owner of a 525i and everything in the car are splendid. Except for the seats. I have spent hours adjusting the seats to any position possible, however, the driving position remains very uncomfortable. My back aches badly and my neck becomces very stiff.

Maybe the reason is related to the fact that the surface of the seat is tilted back at least for 30 degrees and that cannot be adjusted. The electric seats only allow us to increase this tilting back. Therefore, the seat is slanting backwards.

Any remedies ?

In drivers seat there should be manual seat tilt adjustment in left front corner of the seat. Longest "one seat" distances has been more than 2000km (15h two stops to fill up) and I have newer had better seats. Maybe also CC helps.

Be this a lesson for all...Get the comfort seat. It's one of the best upgrades you can get.

I initially had HUD in my order, but after test driving a car with comfort seat and then one without, I immediately told my Sales Advisor to change my order, dropping the HUD for Comfort seats. Not that HUD is bad, but I just did not want to increase my already bloated budget. I have originally budgeted $40,000, then it was a never ending "for a few dollars more, I can get this instead....blah, blah, blah" There has got to be a limit, at $65,000.

Comfort seats are the deal, you can bring the top half of the seat to a more vertical position.

Welcome to the forum tmjwong.

It is not a surprise to many, often we only need time for our body to adjust to the new seats.... give it a week or two and then everything will be very comfortable.

I have sport seats with no lumbar support and in the beginning, I would get uncomfortable and fatigued in less than an hour.

Today I have no problems though and I credit that to properly adjusting the seats along with better posture.

welcome a board tmjwong

I had difficulty with setting at first, but I am satisfy now with current setting.
It's kind of hard to set at your position, once you adjust little by little.. you will find position you like.. good luck.!
