I gave had my 545i SMG for 2 weeks now. This is an awesome car
.
But - the sports seats on the drivers and passenger sides make a creaking noise every time we move in the seat. It started about 3 days into the ownership...
an now the entire driver's seat can be felt moving when the noise appears!
Has anybody else had this? Is it a hard fix? My dealer is a 1 hour drive from my home...

It not a squeal, like everybody else reports, but a hard, metallic "knack - knack" sound (I don't know how to say it better...).

Hi Buddy
Thx for the tip, but I think my problem is a little different. It only "knacks" when I lean into the left side of my driver seat back, very strange. Also I checked my belt buckle but it doesnt seem to be rubbing against the seat in any part. The hunt goes on....

I had a similar noise on the seat of my E39. The dealer ended up replacing the seat rails and that did the trick. It was an intermittent click that only occurred when weight was transferred just right.
