Seat mat sensor recall not applicable to Canadian model?

Hi.
Just want to ask if any Canadian owner get their seat mat fix under the extended warranty program??
I called up the dealer today. And they told me it is only applicable to the USA models. And BMW Canada says that as well. But I think I read it from quite a few place that people get it fix in Canada as well. Any ideas??
