I have a 06 530, and was wondering if there was a way to turn off the annoying sound it makes when you don't have your seat belt on. I don't mind the red light warning on the dash. I just want to get rid of the noise. I noticed somethings it turns off, and sometimes it doesn't. I try fiddling with things (putting the car in P for a couple of seconds, or open and closing the door will sometimes turn off the sound). Does anyone know the exact system for when and how the sound is turned off??? Thank you for your time.

I actually have a legit reason to want this. I just got my amps installed yesterday. Now that "warning noise" is SUPER loud. Having my stereo turned down does nothing it always beeps super loud now. I would like to disable the noise if possible. I also ALWAYS wear my seatbelt.

what? are you saying the sound is not amplified by your amp? i didnt think that would happen must be able to remove the seat sensors its done by weight on the seat i think

my dog causes the passenger side seat belt warning to go off and its as annoying as hell. he has to sit in the back lol

What I hate the most is when you are stopped and in park, it shouldn't beep at you. That is one of my few gripes about this car.
