dealer told me its a safety thing and cannot be turned off, to tell you the truth it actually makes me wear the seatbelt everytime.
Dealers are able to deactivate it.

In Germany there are some groups of drivers that are legally allowed to drive without wearing the seatbelt, so it can be disabled.
Dealers don't know about or doesn't want to do it, but it is possible.

Dear kids.

Please use the seat belts.

The airbags don't save you, the belts + Ab's maybe does.

There's so much to see and experience...

It's not your problem if he wants to get killed or severely injured in an accident.

+1 I work for a fire department and you would not believe the number of people that I have personally seen that have either been killed or seriously injured in car accidents that I believe would have otherwise been fine if only they were wearing their seat belts. This number may have changed since I learned it in training but you are 14 times more likely to die in an accident if you are ejected from your vehicle. It amazes me that in this day in age, with what we have learned about traffic collisions, people still do not wear their seat belts OK, I am done. Just my two cents

A seatbelt CAN safe your your life. BUT: it is NOT automatically and ALLWAYS doing so.
I have seen high speed accidents where people walked off without any injury... not having worn their seatbelt.
From that I have learned to NOT beeing the one that tells someone to wear it.
If you have a driving license... it's your decission.

The things I DON'T accept is DUI, reckless driving, speeding more than 20 Km/h over the limit or hit & run.

When someone here asks a question I don't think we need to educate him/her...
