Hi
I changed my seats from cloth to leather ages ago and it set off my airbag light. Ive ran inpa and the error comes up:
98DF Resistor detonation pill detonation circuit3(Seat belt tensioner right) to small. Error clears until you restart!!
Can anybody provide any input on what this means??
Any help appreciated.

had the same,
the airbag system is the first system to view faults when the tension of the battery variies,
give a look to the battery and tight up the bolts on the battery (+ and -).
After done there should be no more errors.

this sounds interesting. i had both my front seat belt tensioners replaced with good ones and the passanger side cleared...... but the driver side didnt. they also replaced the battery lead cable also. Do you think they didnt tighten the + and - bolts all the way? Should i tighten the bolts then clear the errors and see if that does it? or is there any special way this has to be performed?

thanks a bunch

right, tight the bolts and you'll be fine, hopefully:-)
there's not a special way, just tight it up..

I think they disconnected the battery as you mentioned and now the bolts aren't tight..

I'm under the impression that tensioner and air bag errors can only be cleared by the
dealer or an indy with equivalent equipment. The car's battery should be disconnected
before disconnecting tensioners or air bags.
