I, too, am annoyed.
Mrs. sixcard requires approximately 5 minutes of farding before she gets around to buckle up.
My solution is to stop at 2 minutes. It works every time.

Another hypothetical question... Say I buy a loose seat belt buckle, and plug it in, will that alter the characteristics of my airbags when I'm in an accident?

you're concerned about the possible change of characteristics of your airbag in a accident, but yet you fail to wear your seatbelt?

not lecturing, but just thinkin' out loud.

Is there ANY way that you can disable the seat belt chime. My SA says you can't, but i've got a feeling he just doesn't want to!

PS: And please no lectures about the safety of seat belts.....
Benstone,

I live about a mile away from my Newspaper Shop, I dont put my seatbelt on until Ive collected the paper in a morning.

So even though it ding dongs for about 1/2 mile it then stops, or it does with my M5....................everymorning

In Germany the dealers can disable them, so there is a way to do it for dealers.

I would just buy a spare buckle...
