You should not make a statement like that. Some people will take that seriously and try it one day . . From the E90 forum, someone has tried this by switching something off behind the glovebox but it didn't seem to work. Maybe BMW can change it. I'm sure it's just another .wav file probably from the Idrive. There's a very high possibility that you can change it to something else from BMW maybe?

In Korea, you can disable it thru BMW Service Centers.
Just matter of customizing and reprogramming the car.

Except you have to sign some papers that say that you chose to disable the seat belt warning function,
and that BMW takes no resposibility whatsoever, etc...

This could become rather disadvantageous for you in case of big accidents and with insurance companies.
