I AM AN IDIOT - I have a headlamp bulb question
OK - I posted up about the headlamp icon lit up on my dash and 'warning' sign - triangle with exclamation. Duh.... push the upper button on the turn signal stalk and you get the messages on the iDrive screen. Passenger low-beem bulb is burned out.
So... my question is, and this is the idiot part - we have BMWs, can I just go to an auto parts store and get the bulb or do I need to go to the dealer and get a 'good' bulb? I assume I can install a bulb myself, yes?
Thanks,
Barry

I would not change a Xenon headlamp even if I have some experience with cars.
But I would ask why the lamp is broken, Xenons do not brake that often,
they usually simmer (get bluish and pale) in old age!

Well - car is under warranty. Are Xenons included under warranty or are they consumables ????

Covered by warranty or consumables? I presume you mean they are covered by warranty - I understand that wiper blades are covered thru the warranty/service period, so, given the relative complexity of the xenon light system, I'd expect them to be covered by warranty.
