It annoys me too. This has been covered a number of times on this forum. People will give you lectures on wearing your seatbelt like your 16 years old.

Better yet, buckle up. Bad things happen to bodies when they bounce off an airbag.

I think car manufacturers have overstepped their bounds on this one. I really hate that they 'force you' to wear your seatbelt. Without getting into the liberal seatbelt debate aspect of this, I really wish there was an option to disable this if necessary. Most domestic (American) vehicles offer this but yet some of the world's finest insist on pestering you with the alarm. I wear my seatbelt most of the time but at work and home there are stretches where I have to reverse for about 125 feet and there's absolutely no reason that the seatbelt chime should go off during this if I have to quickly get in the car and move it. Don't even get me started about my briefcase/groceries on the passenger seat that trigger this stupid f'in alarm. I found a local salvage yard and bought two seatbelt buckles for roughly $8 USD that I keep in my car at all times for occurances such as these.

TOTAL B.S. if you ask me.

\end rant.....flame away....

I hate it the way we are forced to reduce the risk of killing ourselves and possibly others.

Where did our civil liberties go?

+1 I wonder if the OP ever saw a person go through the windshield because they weren't wearing their Seat Belt.
