I always buckle up and demand others do to! The seatbelt chime helps me to get them doing it!

I think it'd be nice if BMW give us option to turn on/off the seatbelt chime in the i-Drive just like Hour Memo check box option. What do you guys think?

It has made a seat belt user out of me, even for the 1/4 mi. trip to my office.
Did you know it works on distance traveled. Mine goes on 3/4 of the way down the driveway, the EXACT same spot every time (if I don't buckle up before taking off of course).

The e60 seat belt chime is just another example of how the car tells you what to do, instead of the other way around.
The belt chime is a nuisance, just like having to acknowledge the initial warning on I-Drive, and having to deactivate DSC every time you step in the car.
