I prefer to have seatbelt chime off. Warning with blinking seatbelt warning light is OK. Please tell us what you guys think, and we'll immediately know if seatbelt chime feature is hated or beloved.

I really dont care. I like to wear my seat belt and encourage my passangers to wear it too.

I havent heard my chime well yet because for me wearing my seat belt is part of driving a car.

..even professional car racers wear them..imagine me with less experience....

I always wear my belt so the chime isn't an issue... unless there is someone in the passengers seat who doesn't put theirs on. Although, even if the chime wasn't there, they'd be reaching for it rather soon.

The chime is a good excuse to ask the passenger to buckle up. They always comply.

I've had a few passengers ask me about the annoying chime. I tell them to buckle up and they won't hear it anymore. Works every time. It's amazing how many people still would rather Not buckle up... Even driving with ME !

I don't mind having the chime but I do like to get in the car turn on the engine and then put on the belt. I'll still let the chime do it's thing and I won't deactivate it given the chance but I believe others should be able to chose one way or the other. IMO.

we have the "click it or ticket" kind of law here. so i always have my seat belt on. i don't mind the chime at all but probably not continuously. just a 10-15 seconds reminder is good enough. but then again, for those who don't like to wear seat belt, that wouldn't be a good idea .

I agree with JDN. The seat belt chime allows me to give my friends the gift of not having their face go through the windscreen if there is an emergency.

My passengers have to buckle up, even the ones in the rear (where there is no chime or pop up message).
I simply don't start driving before they are buckled up.
I love the fact that BMW made me buckle up all the time, what I didn't in my previous cars...
I can live witch the chime but would find it nicer to have the warning message only!
However, nobody driving with me has ever been mad at me because I made them buckle up...
