I'd just take it to the tire shop regardless. It's a cheap fix and you don't want to be stranded.

Thanks everyone, I didn't want to have to do it, but I think I knew I had to. ENstig8or had a good point. It might not be deep enough, but I'm thinking it is, it's inbetween the tread.

I'll have to go get a patch kit and take off the car.

Why go to that extreme? There are many tire stores (national and regional) that will patch your tire for a nominal charge.

Q: How many people does it take to screw in your tire?

A: Two, so long as the tire is big enough.

have it patched not plugged! Well, maybe ur screw diudnt puncture thru.

Check if it's leaking SLIGHTLY. Pour water or spray windex where the nail is. See if it bubbles. If it doesnt bubble, then it's not leaking.

OR

Go to a local TRUSTWORTHY tire shop and have then yank the screw off. They will check if it's leaking using the same way. Very simple. Have it patched if it's leaking or maybe it didnt puncture through

+1. This is excellent advice. Never plug a leak -- patching is a much better and safer repair if you have a leak.
