I made a dumb mistake by using an abrasive sponge to remove a stubbon bug splatter from my windshield. I didn't realize how soft the glass surface is and it left circular scratches (about a 2 inch area on the passenger side near the top).

Does anybody know where to get a polishing kit or something to buff out the scratches? I checked a couple local auto parts stores and called 3 windshield repair places, but none of them were any help.
